Effective November 8, 2026 · Version 2026-11-08
You can delete your Catedral da Família account at any time.
In the app
- Open the app and sign in.
- Tap Me, then Account, then Delete account.
- Confirm it is you (a code or your password), read what will be removed, and type DELETE.
On the website
- Sign in on the website.
- Go to Account, then Delete account, and follow the same steps.
Cannot sign in?
- Write to catedraldafamilia@gmail.com from the email on your account, or tell us the phone number on your account. A Lead Pastor can delete it for you after checking it is you.
What is removed
- Your name, contact details, photo, profile, family links, ministries, serving schedule, devices and notification settings, your Kids passcode, and any permission you had to pick up another family's children. Pickup people you added for your own family stay with your family.
- Your sign-in (email, phone, password) is removed at once.
What is kept
- The church's finance records of past gifts keep your name, because finance law requires the church to keep them for at least 7 years.
- Past serving, Kids check-in and safety logs, and the security log stay, with your name replaced by "[deleted]".
- Your messages in escala chats (a ministry's service date) lose their text: others see "Message deleted" from a former member. A message someone reported stays with the ministry's leaders and the Lead Pastors until it is reviewed or the chat is deleted (31 days after the service date).
- Paid event records stay for the church's accounts, without your contact details.
- A record that you gave or withdrew a consent stays, without your name.
- Songs you added to an escala stay, without your name.
- Backups can keep deleted data for a short time before it is gone.
Children and families
- If you are the last adult in a family with children, hand the family to another adult or a Lead Pastor first. The app tells you how.
Before you delete, you can download your data: Me, then Account, then Download my data.
